Parents
Parent Teacher Club
Each and every parent and grandparent of Academy students is automatically a member of The Academy Parent Teacher Club. The Parent Teacher Club supports the school by planning and implementing events and fund-raisers throughout the school year. The club elects a president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer each year. If you are interested in serving as an officer for the PTC or would just like to volunteer, please download the Volunteer Form on the forms and resources page and return it to the school office.

The Academy Code of Conduct
Students enrolled in The Academy of Coastal Carolina are held individually responsible for understanding and fully adhering to the following items addressed within the Student Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by these school-wide rules will result in disciplinary action deemed appropriate by the classroom teacher and / or the school board.
Dress Code
In order to promote a learning environment that encourages individuality through works of creativity and self-expression rather than current fashion trends, a strict dress code is to be followed daily. We believe a dress code will set our students apart by allowing them to discover the importance of learning and self-worth in a non-threatening social atmosphere.
Students must wear a combination of the following each and every school day:
- Mondays - Thursdays: Collared polo with Academy logo (navy blue, royal blue or white only), khaki pants, skirt, shorts.
- Fridays: Academy T-Shirts or any color Academy collared shirt with khaki or bllue jean pants, skirts or shorts
- Closed toe shoes every day. (Sneakers on PE Day)
Please Note: Absolutely no clothing that is cut, frayed, adorned with holes or written messages, and / or oversized will be permitted. Tops must be sized appropriately with midriff fully covered. Shorts and skirts must be within 3 inches of the knee.No hats, sunglasses are permitted inside the school building. We also ask that any outwear that is worn inside the school building have the Academy logo as well.
Attendance
Regular attendance by every student is mandatory - - The State of North Carolina requires that every child in the State between the ages of 7 and 16 years attend school per NC GS 115C-378. Parents and guardians are legally responsible for ensuring their students attend and remain at school daily. Failure to comply with the attendance policies of this school will result in disciplinary action by the Headmaster.
Students who are absent from school, arrive late, or depart early are expected to make up all work missed, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the absence.
All classroom activities are important and difficult, if not impossible to replace if missed. It is the intention of the school that classes missed be kept to an absolute minimum through close scrutiny and a monitoring system on the part of the administration.
