Other Background: I have taught in the public school setting for 26 years as a K-12 PE teacher and recently as a Biology teacher at West and South Brunswick High School.

I am married to Dan McGougan and he is currently starting his 34th year of public school education. He is currently employed at South Brunswick High School where he teaches Horticulture and coaches the varsity boy’s basketball team. We have two children, a son, Zack and his wife Kasey who live and work in Charleston and a daughter, Leighanne and her husband Joe who live and work here in Brunswick County.

I am excited about this teaching opportunity at The Academy. God truly is amazing and I am so thankful that He has allowed me to become a part of this wonderful new teaching experience. I look forward to meeting and teaching each of my new scientists!
